1. Introduction

GST e-Invoice Verifier ("we", "our", or "the App") is an independently developed application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

Our app is designed with privacy in mind. Here's what we access:

• Camera Access: Used solely to scan QR codes on e-Invoice and e-Way Bill documents. Camera images are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.
• Scan History: Decoded invoice/bill data is stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
• App Version Information: Used to check for over-the-air updates via Shorebird.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not collect precise location data
• We do not collect or store photos or camera images
• We do not collect GSTIN or invoice data on any server

Note: The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage, and displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. See the "Analytics" and "Advertising" sections below for details on the limited data processed.

4. Data Storage

All scan data (e-Invoice details, e-Way Bill details, scan history) is stored exclusively on your device's local storage. We do not operate any backend server that stores your data. You can clear all stored data at any time from the app's settings.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Google ML Kit (Barcode Scanning): Processes QR codes locally on-device. No data is sent to Google servers. See Google ML Kit Terms.
• Shorebird (Code Push): Used for delivering app updates. Only app version metadata is transmitted. See Shorebird Privacy Policy.
• Google Firebase Analytics: Used to understand how features are used so we can improve the app. See the "Analytics" section below and Firebase Privacy & Security.
• Google AdMob (Advertising): Used to display ads that help keep the app free. AdMob may collect and process certain data (such as an advertising identifier and approximate, non-precise information) to serve and measure ads. See the "Advertising" section below and Google's Advertising Privacy & Terms.

4a. Analytics

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage information that helps us improve features and stability. This may include:

• Which screens are viewed and basic in-app events (for example: a scan was completed, the GST calculator was used, an HSN search was performed)
• A Firebase installation identifier and standard device/app information (such as app version, device model, and OS version)
• Approximate (coarse) region derived from your IP address

We do NOT send your scanned invoice data, GSTINs, calculator amounts, or search text to analytics. Where free-text could be involved (such as an HSN search), only the length of the query is recorded, never the text itself.

5a. Advertising

This app is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and use a limited set of data, which may include:

• A device advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
• Approximate (coarse), non-precise location derived from your IP address
• Information about ad interactions and app usage needed to deliver and measure ads

We do not sell your personal data. For users in regions where consent is required (such as the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), a consent prompt may be presented before personalised ads are shown, in accordance with Google's requirements. 6. Permissions

• Camera: Required to scan QR codes. You can deny this permission, but scanning functionality will not work.
• Internet: Required for checking app updates via Shorebird, sending anonymous analytics via Firebase, and displaying ads via Google AdMob.

7. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's own security measures (PIN, biometrics, encryption). We recommend keeping your device secured with a screen lock.

8. Children's Privacy

Our app does not target or knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
